The circuit at Glen Helen raceway, San Bernardino, California featured a large sand section mixed with hard pack, square edged bumps and huge jumps for the opening round of the 28 AMA motocross championship. The extremely fast and dangerous track coupled with the different conditions on the track made bike setup extremely difficult.
