Aussie Dean Ferris has signed a deal with Red Bull KTM to compete in AMA supercross and motocross series events for the 214 season. The Red Bull KTM team includes Ryan Dungey, Ken Roczen & Marvin Musquin.
Ferris has been competing in the World Championship GP MX series in the MX2 class (25) were he finished 6th overall for the season. However, it was his ride at the Motocross of Nations in Germany that impressed team manager Roger DeCoster. Ferris was offered the job and chose to change his plans from competing in the European championship riding in the MX2 class (45), to race in the 25 West Supercross and outdoor motocross championship.
Ferris does not have a strong background in Supercross racing as he is more experienced in outdoor motocross. However he is keen to change that by competing in the 214 supercross season.
